I have to thank Mom for the smiles and giggles I got this session. I don’t have any idea what she was doing, but it worked! Thank you for the fun evening finding new favorite places!!

The other day I had a session in a beautiful meadow right before the sky opened up and poured. Luckily for us, the rain stayed away long enough for me to be able to capture these smiles and all their giggles. Thank you for a great time!
Fall! It is one of my favorite times of the year. The kids are back in school, the soccer games have started and the weather is getting cooler. Here are a few ideas to dress your family for your upcoming session. Sometimes it can be overwhelming to chose outfits for everyone. My advice is to start with one color and build from there. If you are having trouble deciding on what to wear, look in one of your favorite calalogs and see how the models are styled. It’s an easy way to find a look you would love. If you are still no sure on what to wear, you are more than welcome to contact me for a consultation. I am always here to help 😉
I spent the afternoon with an incredibly beautiful, insightful, articulate, and may I add, funny woman. She is launching a new business that will offer a straight talk approach to financial planning for women. Her daughters joined us for the session and I was able to capture a few images of them together. I wish her the best of luck on her new endeavor!
The kids had the day off from school today, so my husband and I surprised them with a visit to the zoo. But this wasn’t a normal kind of visit. We had the opportunity to go behind the scenes in the African Savanna and meet a few friends up close and personal. The kids (okay, all of us) LOVED IT!!! We were taken on our tour by the wonderful Joanne Clemens in the marketing department of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. She escorted us to the giraffe barn where the keeper, Steph, showed us behind the scenes. We learned about the animal’s routines, diets, favorite treats…everything! We met Blackie, the 57 year-old, 3,500 lb hippopotamus that is now retired and lives with the giraffes. (Let’s just say he might be very well behaved, but definitely something I would not want to run into under different circumstances. 😉 We then headed outside and got to meet Jada, Lily, Grace, Bridget, Travis (yes, Travis!), Lindy, Shirley and Jhasim. What beautiful creatures! I can’t tell you who is who, but Travis and Shirley (I think) couldn’t get enough cookies from the kids! Not only are their neck and legs long…those tongues….watch out! This was definitely a day for the books. Thank you again to Jo and Steph for a fun experience!
and we can’t forget Blackie!!
